  1. Policy

Delete policy

POST
/policy/delete

Overview#

Permanently delete a registered policy, removing it from your profile entirely.

Delete Policy#

Endpoint: POST /policy/delete
Authentication: Required (Authorization token obtained from the step)
Content-Type: application/x-www-form-urlencoded

Request Parameters#

ParameterTypeRequiredDescription
policyIdstringYesThe registered policy identifier to delete

Use Case#

Use this endpoint to permanently remove a policy from your profile. Deletion:
Removes the policy configuration entirely
Stops enforcement if the policy was active
Cannot be undone - the policy must be re-registered to restore
Removes all associated configuration (events, parameters, voting configuration references)
Deletion is useful when:
Policy is no longer needed and won't be used again
Cleaning up outdated or obsolete policies
Policy configuration is incorrect and simpler to re-register than update
Reducing policy count for clarity and management
Deletion is permanent and irreversible
Active policies are automatically deactivated before deletion
Policy configuration is completely removed
To restore a deleted policy, register it again from the template
Use deactivate policy instead if you want to suspend temporarily
Deleted policies no longer appear in any policy lists
