Overview#

Reject a pending device registration, preventing the device from being activated and participating in your profile's workflows.

Reject Device#

Endpoint: POST /device/reject-device
Authentication: Required (Authorization token obtained from the step)
Content-Type: application/x-www-form-urlencoded

Use Case#

Use this endpoint to reject a pending device registration. This is useful when:
An unrecognized device attempts to register under your profile
You no longer wish to authorize a previously requested device
A device registration was created in error
Security concerns require denying device access
Rejecting a device permanently denies its registration request. The device cannot participate in storage or authentication workflows and must request a new registration to attempt authorization again.
Rejection is permanent for that specific device registration
Rejected devices cannot receive encrypted data or ballots
The device must initiate a new registration request if authorization is later desired
Use retrieve profile devices to identify pending devices for rejection
